Chanklett Lane married Lydia Goodwin 7 Jan 1856 in Putnam County, Indiana
I wonder if this is the Chakley Lane who is the husband of Amanda Lane who died
16 Apr 1868 and is buried in the Vermillion Cemetery
In the 1879 Atlas pg. 43 Chakley Lane owned 45 ac. Of the east 1/2 of NE 1/4 of sec. 34 abt. 2 miles
west of the Vermillion Cemetery.
This cemetery is located in Section 36, N 1/2 of NW 1/2 of NE 1/4. It is the Old Bethel Baptist Church burying ground
but is usually called the Vermillion Cemetery. Quotes from Abner Goodwin's will state: "I, Abner Goodwin of Owen County,
State of Indiana ... direct that my body be decently buried by the side of my first wife ... There is one acre of land that I
gave to the Baptist Church in Putnam County for a public burying ground to be used for that purpose by the people"
