Brown Cemetery
	Franklin Twp., Putnam Co., Ind

	This cemetery is owned by the Township, but access is through private property. Be sure to contact the Township Trustee or the adjoining property owners before visiting this cemetery.
	Directions:
	Go south of Roachdale on Co Rd 250E for two miles to Co Rd 1100N. Turn right and follow 1100N west about one mile. Just east of the old red house there is an open area and then a field. Follow the fence between the open area and the filed south across the branch. After crossing the branch, go west to the edge of the field. There is a path going southwest up the hill into the woods. Follow this path to the top of the hill. Go right (west) through the woods about 200 yards to the cemetery. A hand held GPS will really help here
	Condition: Fair
	Sampling trees and dead fallen trees were removed from this cemetery a few years ago. Prior to that time, the cemetery was impossible to mow. The Township is now having the cemetery mowed on a fairly regular basis. There are  several tombstones that have fallen and which should be reset.
